GFL RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE & RECYCLING COLLECTION

WCA, a GFL Company has become one with GFL Environmental (''GFL).  Many residents maybe unaware of such changes. These changes come with some very important distinctions on how we handle your account, from how you log in online, to paying your bill with our new MyAccount system. Please review these changes carefully below, as several of our former functions are finding a new home and will not be migrated to the new system.

Please note that current standing automatic payment methods, including Autopay and eBilling, will not automatically transfer to GFL.

To re-enroll in automatic payments and manage your GFL account, you will need to create a login for our online customer portal, MyAccount, at myaccount.gflenv.com.

In order for GFL to maintain low service rates, all homeowners must be registered and accounts must be in good standing. Continued high delinquency rates could possibly lead to termination of services for all residents through-out Copperfield Community.

If you are having service issues, please contact GFL via email or by phone for prompt resolution.

Please share this information with your neighbors who maybe unaware of such changes.

Please understand trash service is NOT included in your annual HOA assessments.  If the CCA were to go to neighborhood billing your assessments would increase by a minimum of $200 annually depending on if your village was doing trash only or trash and recycling plus curb or back door service.

As a resident you can help us keep your rates low rate by:
  • New to Copperfield please set up and account with GFL
  • If you are on auto pay please make sure your checks have been update to the new WCA to GLF’s addresses
  • If you are not receiving a quarterly please call GFL to ensure your account was transfer correctly
Changes Concerning your account:
  • Please note that current standing automatic payment methods, including Autopay and eBilling, will not automatically transfer to GFL.
  • To re-enroll in automatic payments and manage your GFL account, you will need to create a login for our online customer portal, MyAccount, at myaccount.gflenv.com. USPS CLUSTER MAILBOXES
In recent months we have been made aware of mailbox vandalism and damage to many of the cluster boxes in the community.  It has come to our attention that the Post Office has recently been telling their customers in the last few weeks that the various Associations are responsible for these repairs, which is not the case.  The USPS is responsible for these boxes and some information that they have presented to some homeowners even states this to be the case.  Their article states that whoever installed the boxes and whoever provides the owner with their keys is who is responsible for them, which for Copperfield is the Post Office.  In addition, they have been repairing and replacing the boxes in the past and up until about a month ago, were telling us that the damaged boxes were on a list for replacement.

We hate that the Post Office is putting their customers in this position but the HOAs have never maintained the mailboxes and therefore have never budgeted for or set up processes for repairs or replacements.  We urge all residents to push back to the Post Office for the repairs to be completed.  Please see the website below for further information.

If you have been a victim of a mailbox break in, homeowners are advised to individually report the theft to USPS at 877-876-8455. You will speak to an intake person. Provide as much information as possible (who, what, when, where, etc.) If you know what was stolen that is a big benefit for the case and if you have video from a home camera or a neighbor's camera, that is helpful.

Hot spot areas are determined by the number of cases reported in specific areas. So, it is really important that all residents that have been affected by these thefts are reporting it.
